Welcome to my Blog and thanks for stopping by to learn a little more about me. The purpose of my blog is to share the tools I have learned in my life. Some of the tools I’ve been given reflect my personal growth and development. Others illustrate the principles I have learned since coming online. My hope is that the tools I share with you will allow you to move forward in your life. Both personally and professionally.
My background is pretty diverse. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry, the financial services industry, the insurance industry and sales and marketing. I’ve been both an employee and a business owner. The constant theme has always been to increase sales, grow my business and develop loyal customers. As a result, I’m always on the lookout for new ideas, new technologies, or even a new twist on an old school approach to marketing. After years of the “traditional” ways to market and grow business I decided that I needed to expand my reach if I wanted to obtain the desired growth I was looking for.
In 2009 I ventured online. I started slowly with setting up a Facebook account. At first I really didn’t get it. And then, I looked at Twitter. That was another one I really didn’t get however, I kept hearing that you can grow your business on the social media sites. It wasn’t long before a friend of mine was suggesting that we set up a Facebook Fan Page for our business. Shortly after that the same friend was encouraging me to start a Blog. In November of 2009 I started my Blog and began to get more active on the social media sites.
In December I found the Tribe Mastermind Community. I was one of the first members in this community and a student of Tribe 1.0. In my opinion, this was the best move I made all last year. Getting involved in this community has allowed me to grow personally and professionally. My blog went from nothing to one that is visited regularly by many and the social proof is there for you to see.
As a result of this tremendous experience I widened the net and got involved in a couple of other online communities. The biggest benefit of this outside of a growing blog was the wonderful connections I have made with people from all over the world. I have been blessed by the growth of some of these relationships. I have learned from them and they have learned from me. Some of us have partnered in business together and the rewards of our efforts are developing nicely.
